this weekend the man who is supposed to be my father finally called me.
he did not call me to make up for cutting me out of the family, but to tell me that he is going to have back surgery for two crushed disks.
now i don't mean to sound like a jackass, but if you don't want anything to do with me or my fiancee and her son, why should i give a rats ass about you and you life problems.

It's possible that he was looking for an excuse to call you and see how you are but if that's the case he should put aside the WT shite and call you. It's also possible that he's just looking for attention in a self centred 'you are still the black sheep but I will let you express your sympathy for me' sort of way.
i have an employee that needs to get a corrected w4 form with his withholding changes sent to me right away in time to make the changes on his next check.
he does not have easy access to a fax machine, i don't think he has access to a scanner.
i have a few other employees that have signed their forms right on the computer...i think the scanned their signature or something and create it as a signature font.
Physically doing the scanning of a signature is really easy, you just scan the signature and can then save it as a font and insert it into the document before printing it. I haven't done it for a while but it's pretty easy. Is it sensible? That's up to you

seems like when i was a kid, you could'nt go to a meeting without hearing screams of pain from either the b room or the bathrooms.
ther seems to be a real pattern here, do you think the dubs are so repressed by the bullshit they have to swallow that they take their frustration of not having a life out on their kids, or is it something more sinister

I knew an elder that used to smack the hell out of his kids at the back of the hall when they cried and as they got older he relegated it to a beating when they got home. All of the guys kids are out of the JW's now which isn't much of a surprise.
Growing up I thought that it was normal to smack your kids every time they pissed you off, I'm starting a family this year and there's no way my kids will be beaten.

i have gotten a couple of pm's wanting to know how i am doing on the diet.
tomorrow starts week 4, and as of today i have lost 8 pounds.
the last time i tried to lose weight was on weight watchers and it took me about 4 months to lose 8 pounds and then nothing more would come off.
I did Atkins early last year and it worked a treat, in 4 weeks I went from 215lbs to around 190. I'm only 5'9 but well built so I carry it ok. I managed to keep the weight off for quite a while but found that if you go back to eating normally then you stack the weight back on. It only works if you change your diet long term - I've put on almost all of the weight I lost and think I'll probably restart the diet some time soon.
The only negative I did find is that it gives you REAL bad breath!
